AboutThe Role
JN Bentley offers apprenticeships to gain valuable experience and develop key skills for a future career in the construction industry. Apprenticeships are hands‑on from day one, with a dedicated mentor to support your development throughout the course. You’ll have the opportunity to work on site and develop skills in civil engineering and construction operations.
What You’ll Do- Gain experience working on live construction projects
- Work alongsidelarında Site Manager and Site Engineer to understand full site operations, from site set‑up, construction, commissioning, handover and completion
- Learn how to set out line & level of structures and pipework in line with construction drawings using a variety of surveying equipment (GPS, total station, dumpy level, pipe laser)
- əsinin quality assurance and complete Inspection and Test Records (ITR’s) in line with company procedures
- Assist the Site Manager & Site Engineer with supervising safety, health and environment on site in line with company standards and procedures
- Assist with the day‑to‑day running of the site and learn how to requisition materials, plant and process delivery tickets
- Produce as‑built surveys and records
- 5 GCSEs, including grade 4 in English and Maths
- 1–2 A Levels or equivalent (BTEC/T Level) in a relevant subject
- A valid driving licence
- Ability to work professionally as part of a team
- Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work on own initiative, meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Willingness and flexibility to travel to sites across your operational region
- Level 4 Civil Engineering Senior Technician Apprenticeship
