MBS Chartered Surveyors is expanding its bench of trusted independent surveyors to support sustained growth across North West England.

We are engaging MRICS, Assoc

RICS, and FRICS professionals to deliver high-quality Level 2 and Level 3 residential surveys on a freelance basis. This role suits experienced surveyors seeking consistent workflow without business development or administrative overhead.

You will conduct inspections on site and complete reports remotely, operating to clear technical and reporting standards under MBS governance.

• Undertake Level 2 and Level 3 residential surveys in accordance with RICS standards
• Carry out thorough site inspections with strong diagnostic and defect-analysis capability
• Produce clear, accurate, and defensible written reports within agreed turnaround times
• Communicate professionally with clients and internal stakeholders as required
• Adhere to MBS quality assurance, compliance, and reporting frameworks
• Maintain high standards of professionalism, punctuality, and client care on site

• MRICS, Assoc
  
  RICS, or FRICS (advantage)
• Strong command of building pathology, construction methods, and defect diagnosis
• Excellent written communication with a focus on clarity and risk articulation
• RICS Valuer Registration advantageous but not essential
• Ability to cover North West region & occasional travel beyond core zones
• Full UK driving licence required
