Responsibilities
- Project Planning:
Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project delivery. - Team Management:
Build and lead a team of construction professionals, including subcontractors and suppliers, to execute projects effectively. - Construction Management:
Management of all subcontract packages throughout the build process. - Health and Safety Management:
Ensure that all health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times. - Design Management:
Oversee the design process from RIBA stage 3 to RIBA stage 6. - Quality Assurance:
Maintain the highest standards of quality and safety throughout the construction process, adhering to industry regulations and company standards. - Cost Management:
Monitor project budgets, control costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. - Risk Assessment:
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget. - Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain regular communication with stakeholder, providing project updates and addressing any concerns or requests promptly. - Schedule Management:
Manage project schedules, ensuring that milestones are met, and projects are completed on time. - Procurement:
Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment required for construction projects. - Contract Management:
Review and negotiate contracts with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors. - Compliance:
Ensure that all construction activities comply with regulations and building codes. - Reporting to the Construction Director
- Travelling to multiple sites across the UK
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, with a strong background in residential conversions and refurbishments especially relevant
- Knowledge of construction management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced skills with Microsoft word, excel, Power Point
