Location:Whalley Range, Manchester Team Leader – Manchester
We are hiring Team Leader for our Residential Children’s Home in Manchester.
Salary:
Up to £40,000 per annum
Hours:
Full-time, Permanent (40 hours/week)
Shift Pattern: 2 on 4 off including evenings, weekends, and on average up to 8 sleeps per month.
Sleep-in Rate: £65 per sleep-in (included in total salary package)

What we aim to do is offer support and nurture for children and young people with emotional behaviour difficulties; and help navigate through day-to-day life using the therapeutic trauma informed ARC model.
The Role Of Team Leader Involves- Leading shifts and supervising junior members of staff
- Undertaking agreed, delegated management responsibilities on an ongoing basis
- Supporting the young people’s emotional needs
- Contributing towards maintaining a safe, warm and homely environment
- Providing outstanding care to children while applying their individual care plans
- Taking the children on activities
- Liaising with families and professionals to ensure the best possible care is being provided and carried out
- Taking a proactive approach in supporting the children with attending and engaging in their education
- To make and maintain accurate records of the child’s day, including any incidents that may occur
- Carry out general housekeeping duties, including cooking, cleaning, and completing health and safety checks
- Apply safeguarding knowledge to ensure the safety and wellbeing of everyone in the home
- Comply with GDPR and Health and Safety regulations
- A salary up to £40,000 per year, depending on qualifications, (£65 per sleep in night – up to 8 sleeps per month).
- Enrolment onto the fully funded QCF Level 3/4/5 Children and Young People’s Workforce qualification

- QCF Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People or equivalent (Essential)
- Experience in a children’s home setting (essential)
- Passion to help nurture young people
- Be able to work shift patterns including sleep ins
- Full, UK driving licence (essential)
- All candidates must be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
