Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home

Brand New Children’s Home | 3–4 Bed
Full-Time / Part-Time Opportunities Available

About the Role

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Workers to join a newly established children’s home. This is a unique opportunity to work with children and young people in a safe, nurturing environment, helping them achieve positive outcomes while supporting the home’s culture and routines.

You will work as part of a supportive team, delivering high-quality care, promoting positive behaviour, and contributing to the day-to-day running of the home.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide direct care and support to children and young people in a residential setting

* Assist with implementing care plans, routines, and activities tailored to individual needs

* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing using trauma-informed approaches

* Ensure the safety and welfare of children, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures

* Maintain accurate records of care, incidents, and daily activities

* Support the team in creating a nurturing, structured, and aspirational environment

* Collaborate with colleagues, the Registered Manager, and external professionals

* Participate in training, supervision, and team meetings to continuously improve practice

About You

You will:

* Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care / Residential Childcare, or be willing to work towards it

* Have experience working with children or young people, preferably in a residential or care setting

* Be compassionate, patient, and committed to promoting positive outcomes

* Have strong communication and teamwork skills

* Be resilient, flexible, and able to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins if required
