Our children’s home in Walkden, Salford, provides residential Care for Children and Young People with Autism and Learning Difficulties.

We have a vacancy for a Children's Residential Support Worker in our Walkden, Salford service to be part of our experienced team.

You will work in a caring home environment with the wider team under the leadership of the Registered Manager, nurturing, and supporting the young people providing them with all the care, love and support they would receive as if it was their family home.

You will be working in a caring home environment, nurturing, and supporting the young people we work with helping them to overcome the issues they are facing.

You will work with the team and the Registered Manager to give the support that these Children and Young People deserve to help make life better for them.

Location Walkden, Salford Hours
37.5 hours per week, on a 7-day rota with 2 non-working days each week.

Salary £24,700.00 per year with an hour rate of £12.67 per hour.

Sleep in rate £100.80 per shift Weekend working enhancement - 25% uplift on the hourly rate ( £15.84ph ) for weekend shifts.

As a Children’s Residential Support Worker , you will work as part of a residential childcare team providing support for the children and young people with their physical, emotional, and social needs with an emphasis on promoting their personal growth and independence.

Working on your own initiative and as part of a team, you will be to preparing and assisting the children and young people to fulfil the aims of their person-centred plan.

You will also provide a safe, nurturing environment with a staff team who offer consistency of parenting within their daily interactions.

You will support the children and young people with communication and work closely in a team that has a passion to improve their lives whilst in our care.

You will work flexibly to undertake the full range of duties in a well-planned way that respects and values the children and young people as individuals.

We provide compassionate, nurturing care for the children and young people who are in crisis and have complex needs, supporting them to move on from a difficult past to a brighter future.
