Quartermaster is brand new International Drinks Agency, focussed on scaling start-ups and new UK market entrants. We represent ambitious spirits brands from Australia and the USA, acting as their UK sales and marketing team. Launching in June, we are hunting for a passionate team of brand builders committed to delivering impactful results from Day 1. Expect hard work, good fun, and access to accelerated growth.

As part of the founding team, you'll be working alongside the founder and will have access to equity options. We're looking for positive, solutions focussed people that are eager to roll their sleeves up to win.

Role Description

This is a full-time, hybrid role for a Business Development Manager - Spirits responsible for NE & Scotland. A unique opportunity to work with both influential independents, and key account groups, across both on-trade and prestige off-trade. This will require an appetite to be in the field, and will then quickly evolve to manage key accounts. The person will need to translate the UK brands strategy to their region;

pursuing new listing and joint-marketing opportunities. You need to be both boots on the ground, and strategic partner, for your top venues and retailers. This is a role for an ambitious drinks executive looking for greater ownership and quick progression.

  • Deep knowledge of the bar and hospitality scene across NE & Scotland
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to build rapport with bartenders, owners and directors
  • Knowledge of the spirits industry, relevant sales channels and competitors
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet measurable objectives
