Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain and continuously improve a bid library - including stock bid responses, certificates and company information.
  • Complete supplier administration' forms and PQQ's for Vp Group customers in a timely manner; ensuring that a document audit trail is maintained.
  • Own and maintain a formal bid pipeline and results database including a structured repository for all tender submissions.
  • Management of any required Vp plc bid documentation including template, Group responses.
  • Own a central repository of Vp customer contractual agreements (including a contract renewal and rebate pipeline).
  • To encourage a professional customer service culture, ensuring the quality of response and service delivery reflects our high standards.
  • Develop and maintain access to bid opportunity portals; including optimising key word searches. In addition, work with stakeholders across our business units to ensure that bid portals are being managed & monitored effectively at Group and divisional level.
  • Proactively interrogate a suite of opportunity portals for relevant projects / contracts.
  • Develop an understanding of products and legislation applicable to Vp businesses.
  • Positively support activities that help promote our culture, values and behaviours.
  • Ensure administrative processes are effective and tasks are carried out accurately and in a timely manner.
  • To ensure as far as is reasonably practicable, personal and departmental health & safety.
  • Support the pitch and proposal process from initiation through to implementation.

When considered necessary or appropriate by management you may be required to carry out any duties considered within your skill and competence to assist the smooth running of the business.

  • Ability to handle information with the appropriate level of confidentiality and sensitivity.
  • Highly creative individual with high level abilities on Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Self-motivator, with high innovative drive.
  • A natural completer-finisher, you will be deadline driven, results focussed with effective project and time management skills
Desirable
  • Understanding of the operational, commercial and knowledge of tools in the hire industry.
  • Experience of completing prequalification documents and requests for information ideally within a construction related sector.
  • Bid support experience and recent involvement in complex tender processes.
  • Experience of internal liaison within a multi divisional business.
