• The Senior Buyer acts as a business partner in delivering YoY productivity savings as they develop and implement the sourcing / category strategy, directly aligned to our overall business strategy & priorities
• Uses category management to drive cost reduction initiatives; through alternate sourcing, and process optimization however it is key that the role proactively seeks and builds continuous and meaningful engagement between the business and our suppliers to shape services and improve the value delivered from the supply chain
• Leads the supplier relationship management (SRM), whilst they build, maintain and nurture excellent relationships with key suppliers, fostering collaboration and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Identifies and evaluates potential suppliers we wish to work with
• Negotiates pricing, contracts, and terms with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favourable agreements
• Minimises the company’s sourcing risks by ensuring appropriate contracts are in place with our critical suppliers.
• Identifies and mitigates risks associated with sourcing activities to ensure compliance with regulatory standards

Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, including contract drafting, review, and execution. Ensure compliance with contractual terms, legal requirements, and company policies.

• Reviews & manages the performance of our suppliers, which includes measuring key performance indicators, conducting regular supplier performance evaluations and providing feedback to suppliers to ensure adherence to quality, delivery, and productivity targets
• Leads the way and challenges the business to embrace new processes, new product development & innovation, to understand the total cost of ownership and to define supplier independent specifications
• Stays up to date with related market trends, industry regulations, and emerging technologies to put us at the forefront and conducts cost analysis and market assessments to identify cost-saving opportunities and mitigate price increases
• Uses their stakeholder management and compliant resolution skills to resolve any supplier-related issues or disputes, working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers to achieve timely resolutions

• Educated to degree level preferred or A level with significant relevant working experience in a similar industry or Procurement environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to develop positive working relationships both internally and externally across all levels
• High level of self-motivation and tenacity to drive and deliver results
• Good level of commercial and business acumen
• Proven ability to drive continuous improvements, savings, and best practices with ability to influence change successfully cross-functionally
• Comfortable working in a complex and changing organization working in scenarios of ambiguity
• Works with integrity, role modelling the behaviours aligned to being an inclusive workplace
