12‑Month FTC | Hybrid | FMCG

Location: Irlam, Manchester

Salary: 50K‑60K (depending on experience)

Hours: Full‑Time, Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the commercial strategy for a key retail account, delivering against volume, profit and growth targets.
• Manage all day‑to‑day commercial activity including pricing, budgeting, forecasting, promotions and profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers, supply chain, operations, marketing, store managers and advisors.
• Oversee product training and support category management within the account.
• Use market, category and competitor insight to identify new opportunities and drive innovation.
• Ensure strong service levels, availability and accurate demand planning through cross‑functional collaboration.
• Mentor and support Business Account Executives or relevant commercial team members.
• Proactively explore opportunities to grow the customer base and broaden the portfolio.

About You:

• Strong FMCG Account Management or Commercial Leadership experience.
• Experience working in a manufacturing‑led environment.
• Retail sales experience across grocery or convenience channels.
• Excellent negotiation and financial acumen, including P&L ownership.
• Strong Excel and numerical skills (SAP experience is a plus).
• Confident communicator, able to influence both internally and externally.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and spot opportunities.
• Degree in Business, Economics or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Full UK driving licence.
