Position: Central Administration Team Leader

We are looking for a full-time, permanent Team Leader for our Central Administration Team based at Rusholme Health Centre. This is an excellent opportunity to work in an interesting and diverse healthcare environment.

The Central Administration Team provides the backoffice, clerical support for all practices within the Better Health MCR Ltd group of practices. This includes managing patient registrations and deductions, administering the practices' patient call and recall systems, compiling monthly and quarterly claims for the practices and processing patient referrals.

Main duties of the job

The postholder leads and manages the Central Administration Team to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective clerical support service to staff and patients for all practices within the Better Health MCR Ltd group of practices. The Team Leader must promote effective teamwork (both within the Central Administration Team and with other teams within the group practices), foster high morale, and take a "can-do" positive approach, ensuring that there is continuous improvement of working practices and standards.

The Central Administration Team provides the "backoffice" support for all practices (as distinct from the work undertaken by the administration and reception staff at each practice locally). The team works together to ensure that tasks are carried out to the required deadlines, so a positive and flexible approach is required. The Team Leader is hands‑on and carries out administration work as part of the team.

This may be specific, allocated tasks, taking a turn in the tasks that are shared, supporting team members or covering for absence.

The Team Leader works with other senior staff to ensure the achievement of the organisation's aims and objectives and the efficient and effective running of the service as a whole.
