This role supports the Research and Innovation Coordinator and colleagues across the Faculty of Science, Business and Enterprise with activity which helps deliver high-quality support service in relation to implementation of the University’s Research and Knowledge Exchange Strategy, and PGR student activity which helps deliver high-quality programmes and education for our students.
You will be based in our professional services offices on the Queens Park campus in Chester city centre.
You will- Provide effective administrative support (across all sites and university centres) to ensure the efficient delivery and consistency of Research and Knowledge Exchange (RKE) and PGR processes.
- Provide administrative support to the Research and Innovation Coordinator with a range of tasks relating to research and knowledge exchange, and postgraduate research processes for the Faculty.
- Support the Research and Innovation Coordinator in monitoring PGR student admissions, PGR Supervisors, and annual progress monitoring of PGR students.
- Provide administrative support for Ethics Committee meetings for the Faculty, including the preparation/collation of agendas, briefing notes and presentations, taking of meeting minutes and monitoring of agreed actions with relevant members of staff.
- Provide administrative support for Senior PGR Tutors’ (SPGRT) meetings. Coordinate appropriate administrative support for SPGRT meetings, including the preparation/collation of agendas, briefing notes and presentations, taking of meeting minutes and monitoring of agreed actions with relevant members of staff.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding service.
- Experience in managing administration processes.
- Experience of working in Higher Education or similar environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Experience of Research and Knowledge exchange and/or Postgraduate research
- Experience of ethics processes
