Responsibilities

  • Act as the initial point of contact and respond to all enquiries in a professional and sensitive manner, providing a responsive, comprehensive clerical and administrative service to the multi‑disciplinary CAMHS teams.
  • Undertake the administration of all referrals received into the CAMHS teams, ensuring Patient Electronic Records are kept up to date.
  • Deal with telephone enquiries from external agencies, service users, their relatives and other members of staff in a professional and sensitive manner, communicating messages where necessary without delay to the appropriate individual.
  • Process incoming and outgoing correspondence and distribute it accordingly without delay, in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Collate all relevant information to enable the effective management of referrals received by the CAMHS teams.
  • Organise and book meetings and other events (such as training sessions, conferences etc.) as requested, liaising with key stakeholders to ensure their needs are met.
  • Attend meetings, and where required take accurate and concise minutes, ensuring they are typed, distributed and stored in accordance with group Terms of Reference and Trust policies and procedures.
