Role OverviewWe are seeking an Estates Assistant to join our dedicated Trust Estates function. Working across multiple academy sites in the Northwest, you ll play a key part in supporting the Estates Manager and Headteachers/site teams to maintain safe, well‑kept, and welcoming learning environments for students and staff.
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a tangible impact in a supportive team environment, with scope for training and professional development.
Responsibilities- Assist with day‑to‑day estates and premises tasks, including basic maintenance, room setups, and equipment moves.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance works, safety checks, and contractor visits.
- Support health & safety compliance by helping track statutory inspections and documentation.
- Act as the first point of contact for premises queries and liaise professionally with staff, contractors, and visitors.
- Help administer our vehicle fleet and equipment registers.
- Travel between school sites as required (mileage allowance applicable).
- Experience in estates, facilities, or premises support.
- Strong organisational and IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
- A positive, can‑do attitude and willingness to get involved in practical site tasks.
- A good general education (GCSE Maths and English or equivalent).
- Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare.
