Position: Purchase Ledger Clerk (Permanent)

Sellick Partnership is partnering with a well established organisation to recruit a Purchase Ledger Clerk on a permanent, part-time basis.

The responsibilities of the Purchase Ledger Clerk will be:

Managing the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring invoices and credit notes are recorded accurately
Reviewing and matching supplier invoices against relevant documentation
Carrying out supplier statement reconciliations and resolving any discrepancies
Supporting payment runs in line with internal controls and approval processes
Acting as a key point of contact for supplier queries and working closely with internal teams to resolve issues
Assisting with month-end activities, including reporting and accruals
Providing wider support to the finance function as required

The ideal candidate for the Purchase Ledger Clerk role will have:

Previous experience within a purchase ledger or accounts payable function
Strong working knowledge of Xero accounting software
A high level of numerical accuracy and attention to detail
A sound understanding of VAT and core accounting processes
The ability to manage workloads effectively and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with stakeholders
