Alvarium Talent is working with a well-established national audit, tax, advisory and consulting firm to recruit a Part Qualified Auditor into their growing Manchester audit team.

About the roleAs a Part Qualified Auditor, you will be involved in the delivery of client-based audit assignments, supporting the team to ensure audit work and reporting is of a consistently high standard. You will work closely with senior team members, contribute to client relationships and play an active role in the development of junior colleagues.
Alongside core audit responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to contribute to wider business and people development initiatives as your experience grows.
Role requirements- Studying towards ACA or ACCA qualification
- At least two years’ relevant audit experience (UK GAAP preferred)
- Experience of external audit
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- A strong commitment to client service
- High levels of energy, enthusiasm and attention to detail
- Demonstrating commitment to team success and a positive, proactive attitude
- Treating colleagues with fairness and respect and contributing to an inclusive working environment
- Providing and responding positively to constructive feedback
- Sharing knowledge and experience to support the development of junior team members
- Developing familiarity with the firm’s audit methodology
- Participating in service line, office and firm-wide activities
- Working effectively as part of an audit team
- Communicating clearly and professionally with clients, both verbally and in writing
- Anticipating client needs and responding in a timely and professional manner
- Acting with integrity and in the best interests of the firm at all times
- Assisting with the planning, execution and completion of audit assignments
- Identifying risks, issues and areas for improvement, and proposing practical solutions
- Producing high-quality work for review by senior team members
- Supporting the preparation of audit findings and client reports
- Monitoring progress against audit budgets and explaining variances where required
- Supporting clients primarily in and around Manchester, with occasional travel to other UK offices
- Ability to deliver work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards
- A strong understanding of UK GAAP accounting principles
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data
- An interest in developing audit and technical expertise
- Willingness to support and, over time, lead audit fieldwork
- A collaborative and professional approach to work
