The OpportunityA growing professional services firm is seeking a qualified Audit Senior Associate to join its expanding Audit and Assurance team based in Manchester. You’ll work with a diverse range of clients including corporate and owner‑managed businesses, charities, and other not‑for‑profit organisations, from start‑ups to well‑established and listed entities.
This role offers the chance to work closely with experienced partners and managers in a supportive and dynamic environment. You will take on significant responsibility, gain exposure to complex assignments, and be encouraged to develop your skills and progress your career quickly within the firm.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver high‑quality client assignments and audit work.
- Lead, coach, and support team members.
- Manage relationships with a diverse client portfolio.
- Support business and people development within the audit practice.
- Contribute to advisory and non‑audit client engagements.
- At least 3 years of experience in UK Audit.
- Significant auditing and accounting experience, ideally with UK GAAP.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and focused on delivering results.
- Commitment to personal development and progression.
- Demonstrate commitment, enthusiasm, and initiative in your work.

- Manage and mitigate risk in all client interactions.
- Prepare and present Audit Findings Reports and recommendations.
- Monitor progress against budgets and address variances.
- Identify opportunities for business development and additional client support.
- Ability to deliver high‑quality work efficiently and accurately.
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and audit fundamentals.
- Effective analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage audit fieldwork and liaise with other departments.
