Purpose
Ensure consistency of RMA products through use of the principles including Sort, Set-In-Order, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety to develop Standard Operating Conditions (SOC’s) that ensure our customers receive the same product every time. Promote and lead standardization and relentless continuous process improvement through daily audits, Management by Walking Around, and Continuous Improvement Teams (CIT’s).
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks- General Policy
- Establish new while sustaining existing SOC’s to ensure customers receive same finished product every time.
- Coordinate with RHA/RMA Commercial Teams to ensure all customer requirements are being consistently met.
- Supports development of new SOCs, both new products and existing products on different equipment.
- Ensure plant is “starting where they stopped” on all production runs and that SOC’s are updated in timely manner to reflect actual, optimal and sustainable run conditions.
- Support Plant Manager on KPI goals as related to process improvements through CIT team leadership and involvement. Focus on Job Rate, Yield Loss, Safety and Quality.
- Help transfer best process and equipment practices across production lines.
- Support seamless transfer of production lines and products between facilities as necessary to optimize RMA’s financial success.
- Demonstrate leadership behaviors consistent with RMA’s “Code of Conduct”.
- Drive plant systems and organization to improve efficiency, safety and quality.
- Drive improvements via Management by Walking Around (MBWA).
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education:
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in technical field.
- Experience:
- Must be open to working primarily on manufacturing shop floor and not behind desk.
- Experience in the plastics field is preferred, manufacturing and/or laboratory.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSA)
- Must be comfortable working in a shared space, with constant noise, with/or without the use of a private office.
- Must be comfortable working in a non-climate controlled environment.
- Schedules may vary from week to week based on business demands in excess of 40 hours with or without notice.

Physical Requirements / Demands- Must be able to lift 55lbs.
- Have use of fingers and hands for writing and typing.
- Regularly go up and down stairs.
- Occasionally reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
