Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for an Instrument Technician, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB in Tullahoma, TN. The Instrument Technician will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for operating and maintaining or supporting the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.

Open to external candidates only. Current, BNH candidates will not be considered. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.

The successful candidate will under general supervision, calibrate and repairs various instruments for electrical and mechanical measurements used in aeronautical tests and research activities and in plant control.

Supplementary Functions:
Participation in functional specific safety training.

• Modify, fabricate, maintain, repair, and calibrate a variety of mechanical, optical, electrical, electromechanical, and electronic indicating and recording instruments and precision measuring equipment
• Perform diagnostic and troubleshooting activities required to service discrete and digital logic instrument control systems
• Connect instruments to computers and recording devices
• Adjust and calibrate instruments as directed and adapt them to new or extended uses
• Assist in servicing and adjusting computers, microprocessors, and peripheral devices
• Use a wide variety of instruments, tools, and equipment necessary to perform assigned duties
• Work primarily in a laboratory or field equipment environment
• Assist in training lower-level technicians
• Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy
• Perform other related duties as required

• Educational Equivalent:
  Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
• Specific Knowledge or
  
  Experience:
  
  Four years of progressive experience in technical instrumentation with six months’ schooling in electronics or instrumentation field
• In-depth knowledge of operational characteristics of laboratory test instruments
• Licenses/Certifications:
  
  Valid State Driver’s License
• Communication
  
  Skills:
  
  Must be able to read, write, and speak English well enough to understand, give and take directions

• Current United States Citizenship required
• Must obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network access
