Wheelchair Transport Driver – Manchester, New Hampshire

Responsibilities
  • Operate a company‑provided shuttle/sedan safely and courteously, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections to ensure vehicle is in proper working condition.
  • Assist passengers, including those using wheelchairs or other mobility aids, in boarding and alighting and secure wheelchairs and scooters safely.
  • Maintain effective communication with dispatch, reporting deviations, accidents, passenger incidents, and mechanical problems promptly.
  • Provide guidance and inform passengers about rules and regulations, ensuring a safe and comfortable travel experience.
  • Assist passengers with loading and stowing luggage, handling belongings with care and securing them during transit.
Physical Requirements
  • Lifting:
    Ability to lift 75 lbs from the floor.
  • Push/Pull:
    Capability to push or pull 80 lbs horizontally and at an incline.
  • Hand Strength & Dexterity:
    Ability to exert up to 50 lbs of force with hand dynamometer.
  • Climbing:
    Ability to climb steps.
  • Kneeling:
    Ability to kneel and reach the floor.
  • Sitting:
    Prolonged periods of sitting in excess of 2 hours or more.
Pay and Benefits
  • Competitive starting wage of $18.18 per hour.
  • Additional $5.09 per hour in benefits in accordance with federal regulations.

  • Ability to provide housing for a company‑branded commercial utility van at residence.
