Bus Driver

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a responsible, safety-minded Bus Driver to transport students between the Union Street Clubhouse and various Manchester schools. The driver will ensure timely, safe, and courteous transportation for children during morning and afternoon routes.

• Morning Route:
  Union Street Clubhouse → Various Manchester Schools
• Afternoon Route:
  Various Manchester Schools → Union Street Clubhouse
• Monday through Friday, aligned with the Manchester School District calendar.

• Safely operate a passenger bus along established routes each school day.
• Pick up children at the Union Street Clubhouse and transport them to designated Manchester schools in the morning.
• Return children from various Manchester schools to the Union Street Clubhouse in the afternoon.
• Maintain accurate passenger logs and communicate any schedule changes or incidents promptly.
• Follow all state and federal traffic laws and safety regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the bus.
• Provide friendly, respectful, and professional interaction with students, parents, and staff.
• Report any vehicle issues, delays, or safety concerns to the supervisor immediately.

Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and proper operation.

• Valid CDL-B (Commercial Driver’s License, Class
  
  B) with passenger endorsement.
• Personal auto insurance with at least personal liability coverage.
• Clean driving record and ability to pass a background and drug screening.
• Previous experience transporting children preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Punctuality, reliability and safety-focused mindset.

• Requires physical activities such as standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, crawling, lifting, and reaching.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs regularly, and 10 lbs frequently.
• Visual acuity required for close work and inspections. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to varying environmental conditions and moderate noise levels.
