General Information

Tell us about the unit(s):

  • Number of Beds – 10
  • Type of staff:
    • Day Shift – 1 charge, 3 RN, 1 LNA , and sitter PRN
    • Night Shift – 1 charge, 2 RNs, 1 LNA, and sitter PRN
  • Patient Ratios 3-4:1
  • Type of equipment – IV pumps, Telemetry monitors, Hoyer/stand lifts, bladder scanner, Bair hugger, rapid transfuser, chest tubes, vein finder, high‑flow nasal cannula, BiPAP/CPAP, epicardial and transvenous pacers
  • EMR – Sunrise
  • Patient Population – Mostly Cardio‑Thoracic and Vascular surgical patients, with occasional medical Progressive care patients
Typical Hiring Profile Skill Set Most Recruited for

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.

  • Telemetry
  • Comfort with chest tubes

Preferred or Nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.

  • Experience with cardiac drips (dobutamine, dopamine, levo)
  • External pacemaker experience

  • Pericardial centesis with drains left in place post‑procedure
  • Thoracentesis
  • Chest tube insertion
