Registered Nurse – Pediatrics Who We Are
Elliot Hospital’s Women’s and Children’s Services are dedicated to addressing the specific health and wellness needs of women and their children. Elliot treats more pediatric patients than any other non-teaching hospital in Northern New England, and is the only Pediatric/Adolescent Center in Greater Manchester. The Pediatric/Adolescent Center has a 17 bed capacity. We care for ill and injured children year round, with an average of 925 patients per year.
Aboutthe Job
The Registered Nurse in Peds will treat individuals who may need treatment in areas of telemetry, orthopedics, infections, respiratory, diabetes, GI, substance exposed infants, infants needing G-tubes wound care, seizures, pain management, sickle-cell disease, emergency, asthma, immunizations, and autism.
What You’ll Do- Embraces and promotes change to support optimal patient outcomes and an effective professional practice environment.
- Involves patient/family in goal setting and planning, and communicates that plan of care to patient and family for input; and to colleagues to ensure seamless care across shifts and settings.
- Utilizes current evidence and relevant national/specialty standards to guide practice and/or performance and identifies areas for improvement.
- Demonstrates competent clinical practice utilizing clinical decision making and critical thinking skills.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ASN or BSN – BSN preferred)
- Current New Hampshire, compact, or multistate licensure as Registered Nurse required
- Ability to obtain BLS qualification during orientation period and maintain during employment – ACLS preferred
