Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in the Emergency Department in accordance with state and specialty standards. In collaboration with medical providers and other team members, the RN provides individualized, comprehensive, compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The RN serves as an advocate for patients and families, promoting an unparalleled patient experience and positive clinical outcomes.
- Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers. Documents administration of care in the patient medical record timely and thoroughly.
- Teaches patients and families about medical condition, treatment plan, medications, side effects, and follow‑up measures, translating complex terminology.
- Prepares families for future self‑management through education on diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
- Manages evidence‑based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet and exceed quality measures.
- Collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan that promotes recovery.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
- Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
