EXPERIENCED Registered Nurse – CICU – Full Time

Night Shift – 7 p.m.–7 a.m. (12‑hour shifts, 36 hours weekly). $15,000 bonus eligible.

Job Overview:

The Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit (CICU) is a 47‑bed unit with an average census of 46–47 patients. It specializes in cardiac/telemetry, post‑procedure catheter, pacer, ICD, stroke & seizure, GI bleed, sepsis, and med/surg overflow. Nurse‑to‑patient ratio 1:4, LNA‑to‑patient ratio 1:10.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to patients and families with basic to complex needs, utilizing the nursing process.
• Create therapeutic and caring environment for patients and families.
• Practice consistent with Elliot Hospital Interprofessional Model, ANA policies, scope and standards, nursing code of ethics, and specialty standards.
• Embrace and promote change for optimal outcomes and professional practice environment.
• Involve patients/families in goal setting and plan care, communicate plan to patients/families and colleagues. Ensure seamless care across shifts.
• Demonstrate accountability for professional growth, unit operations, and rapidly changing situations.
• Utilize evidence and national/specialty standards to guide practice, identify areas for improvement.
• Demonstrate competent clinical practice, clinical decision making, critical thinking skills.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Bachelor of Science preferred.
• Registered Nursing licensure in New Hampshire, compact, or multistate – required.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience in acute care hospital; 2+ years preferred.
• Must obtain BLS during orientation; maintain during employment. ACLS preferred.
