As a School Nurse (RN), you will:

* Provide direct care to students for acute illnesses, injuries, and chronic health conditions

* Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and school policies

* Monitor and manage student health records to ensure compliance with state regulations

* Develop and implement care plans for students with medical needs

* Educate students, staff, and parents on health-related topics, including disease prevention, hygiene, and wellness

* Respond to medical emergencies and coordinate with emergency services when necessary

* Collaborate with school staff and community health resources to support students' well-being

A few must-haves for School Nurses:

* Graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in Vermont

* Minimum of 1 year of experience in pediatric, school health, or community health nursing

* Current CPR certification

* Strong assessment skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently

* Compassionate communicator who values collaboration with students, staff, and families
