Job Summary
We are seeking a Machinist to join our team! As a Machinist, you will be working with a variety of machines and manufacturing equipment as needed and per blueprint or job order specifications. The ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail, previous experience in a manufacturing environment, and the ability to work well with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities- Develop/modify CNC programs, fixtures and set up sheets. Specify part holding techniques, speeds, feeds and tooling.
- Must be well versed in GD&T
- Operate and set-up machines within the department.
- Inspect parts and document results of inspections on in process inspection plans.
- Continuously monitor equipment and tooling. In the event of a breakdown or other event that would disrupt the process, notify department manager to resolve the problem.
- Follow the instructions on the setup sheet, drawings and/or programs.
- Assist with training of new team members and operators.
- Participate in new job reviews and design for manufacturing sessions. Identify opportunities for cost reduction and quality improvements.
- Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
- Adhere to company safety requirements.
- Assure that assigned activities are performed in accordance with InSource Design & Manufacturing Technologies Quality System procedures, processes and standards.
- Read blueprints or job orders and make adjustments to equipment as needed, often with precision tools
- Check final products for accuracy, and make adjustments to machines as needed to ensure the best final product
- Conduct basic maintenance and repairs on equipment in your care
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a machinist in a manufacturing environment
- The ability to read blueprints or job orders and make minor adjustments as needed to fulfill requirements
- The ability to use precision tools to take accurate measurements
- Excellent attention to detail
