** Job Description
** The Senior Manager of Enterprise Architecture will define and enforce architecture standards, governance processes, and modernization strategies across the enterprise. This leader will play a pivotal role in guiding Mazda's evolution from legacy systems to a modern, cloud-first, and data-driven environment that supports innovation, agility, and security. Working closely with the CIO, IT Leadership team, and global Mazda counterparts, the Senior Manager will serve as a bridge between business strategy, technology execution, and risk management to ensure MNAO's architecture enables both resilience today and scalability for the future.
The Senior Manager will also shape technology strategies and roadmaps across the full vehicle lifecycle—from R&D and manufacturing to sales, service, and customer experience—ensuring alignment with corporate objectives. This position emphasizes innovation in connected mobility, cloud-native platforms, and digital manufacturing while adhering to automotive industry standards and cybersecurity regulations.
** Major Responsibilities*** (30%) Enterprise Architecture Development  + Design and govern Mazda’s enterprise technology blueprint, establishing architecture standards, reusable patterns, and governance processes that guide all business and IT domains.  + Establish and institutionalize enterprise-architecture practices, including decision-rights models, architecture maturity metrics, and standard review cadences through CX CoE.  + Define and maintain capability models and reference architectures adopted across business and IT portfolios.

+ Define, maintain, and communicate the enterprise architecture vision and multi-year roadmaps across business, data, application, and technology domains.  + Align architectural initiatives with Mazda’s strategic objectives and CIO priorities to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value.  + Lead enterprise architecture review boards, establish clear decision-making frameworks, and drive the modernization of MANO’s technology ecosystem—transitioning from legacy platforms to a secure, hybrid-cloud environment with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure.

+ Collaborate with global business leaders (manufacturing, sales, aftersales) to align strategies.* (25%) Connected Vehicle & Data Strategy  + Define and govern the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) reference architecture — encompassing OTA lifecycle, in-vehicle software updates, telemetry ingestion, and API management.  + Collaborate with R&D and Data teams to enable predictive maintenance, personalization, and monetization use cases.  + Establish secure, scalable data pipelines that enable real-time insights, personalization, and monetization opportunities across Mazda’s customer and dealer experiences.

+ Define the enterprise data and integration frameworks underpinning Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) and EEA initiatives covering software lifecycle management, cloud-to-car integration, and cybersecurity while embedding data governance, interoperability, and lineage to connect the vehicle, cloud, and enterprise systems into one unified data ecosystem.  + Architect and optimize modern mobile car app platforms to serve as digital extensions of the vehicle, enabling data-driven features, intelligent services, and new revenue streams from connected experiences, subscriptions, and value-added services.

+ Partner with R&D, data science, and external technology ecosystems to unlock the commercial value of connected-vehicle data, vehicle lifecycle management and customer lifecycle management.* (20%) Cloud & Digital Manufacturing Enablement  + Lead design and governance of Mazda’s Azure enterprise platform — landing zones, identity management, networking, data-lakehouse integration, and cost optimization.  + Implement Microsoft CAF guardrails and Dev Sec Ops  standards across all Azure workloads.

+ Define hybrid/edge patterns to connect factory, vehicle, and enterprise data.  + Where possible architect IT/OT convergence frameworks that securely integrate shop-floor systems with enterprise platforms (ERP, Data Lakehouse, AI).  + Design cloud and…
