About the JobDemonstrates competence in providing professional speech/language pathology services to clients/patients of all ages whose needs range from basic to complex. Plans and implements age-appropriate, specific treatment programs for individual client/patients with a level of skill in accordance with accepted principles and practice.
What You’ll Do- Assess patients and environment appropriately.
- Plan and implement care appropriately.
- Evaluate and update the appropriateness of the care plan and physicians’ orders.
- Communicate appropriate information to patients, peers, managers, physicians, departments, and other agencies involved.
- Integrate problem-solving methodology and quality improvement in resolving problems related to patient care and organizational processes.
- Explain insurance and costs of care appropriately to patients and their significant others.
- Education: Master’s degree or equivalent in the field of speech/language pathology required.
- Experience: Equivalent of one (1) year in a staff speech/language pathologist position in a relevant work setting required.
- Certification/Licensure: Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association required. Licensed by the Board of Speech-Language Pathology required.
- Other: Valid Driver’s License required to travel throughout southern New Hampshire to provide home health care service and other job-related activities. Proof of automobile insurance required. Motor vehicle background report will be conducted.
