Environmental Engineer - Water Services - (2026 New Grads!) at CDM Smith
CDM Smith is looking for an entry-level Environmental, Water Resources, or Civil Engineer to join our Water Services Group. This position presents an opportunity for recent graduates to apply engineering skills to innovative and sustainable water projects and to grow within a dynamic team.
Responsibilities- Support the design and implementation of water and wastewater treatment facilities, sewer systems, pipelines, and associated infrastructure.
- Under direct supervision, ensure designs meet client specifications and comply with federal, state, and local regulatory standards.
- Conduct site assessments, adjust design parameters as needed, and perform water quality analyses and modeling.
- Contribute to technical report preparation, documentation, and collaborations on presentations for client meetings and industry conferences.
- Assist in creating documents and presentations using ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, SWMM, CAD, Excel, and related software.
- Participate in fieldwork supporting construction management activities to provide a comprehensive project lifecycle experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering or related discipline. 0 years of experience. Domestic and/or international travel may be required (travel is contingent on duties and project demands). Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

- Skills:
Basic knowledge of CAD/Drafting (3D/4D), basic engineering design principles, Microsoft Office, and strong verbal and written communication.
