Overview
We are seeking an impactful professional to support recruitment, onboarding and outreach for our childcare workforce development program.
Job Description
The Coordinator plays a critical part in engaging participants, alumni, and community partners while ensuring accurate reporting and strong program outcomes. If you’re passionate about workforce development, relationship-building, and creating pathways into quality childcare careers, we’d love to hear from you.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in workforce development, early education, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience with recruitment and onboarding strategies
- Knowledge of childcare licensing/accreditation preferred
- Strong technology skills (Microsoft Office, databases, web-based systems; LMS experience a plus)
- Excellent communication, organization, follow-through, and problem-solving skills
- Lead outreach, recruitment, and onboarding strategies in partnership with HR
- Support the organization and delivery of up to five program cohorts annually
- Maintain accurate, confidential participant data and reporting systems
- Coordinate surveys, assessments, focus groups, and grant reporting requirements
- Build relationships with local employers and community partners
- Maintain consistent communication with participants and providers (newsletters, updates, training opportunities)
- Ensure compliance with YMCA best practices, grant requirements, and regulatory standards
Employment Type
- Full-time, salaried exempt position
- Primarily Monday–Friday with occasional evenings/weekends for events
- Travel to regional YMCA locations and partner sites approximately five times per month
