Adjunct Faculty - Nursing Tutor

DescriptionThe Adjunct Nursing Mentor/Tutor provides academic support to undergraduate students within the School of Nursing under the direction of the nursing faculty of the Worcester campus, and tutors students on an as‑needed basis. Tutoring appointments will be coordinated between the student and the tutor to best accommodate schedules. Estimated work hours will be six to ten hours per week.
Responsibilities- Work collaboratively with course faculty to share information regarding individual student success
- Serve as a role model and motivate students to perform well in Nursing courses and disciplines
- Attend any required tutor trainings or meetings
- Complete tutoring reports
- Monitor students' progress and communicate with course faculty regarding student progress or concerns
- With support of the clinical agency may allow students to shadow them during their clinical work
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned by the supervisor
- Licensed as Registered Nurse with two to five years of nursing experience
- Ability to work well with students, faculty, staff and the community
- Ability to accommodate a flexible work schedule
The pay range associated with this posting reflects the amount the University reasonably expects to pay for this role at this time. Salary offers are determined based on experience, skills, and qualifications as well as internal equity, market data and pay in comparison to similarly situated employees doing comparable work.
Hiring Range: $70/hr
