This position has a track record of early promotion and advancement into other areas of the company. Located in Jacksonville, FL.

• Prepare, review and approve journal entries and supporting documentation
• Review and approve account balances and prepare reconciliations where necessary
• Prepare trial balances and first draft of financial statements
• File checklists involving internal controls compliance with State, Federal, and other regulatory agencies
• Respond and provide requested documentation to external and internal auditors
• Supervise the work of staff accountants over assigned areas of the business
• Analyze financial statements and variances from budget
• Provide account balance information to the budget teams for their annual process

• BS or BA degree in Accounting
• Minimum two years prior experience performing similar duties as those described
• Preferred:
  Candidates who are eligible for the CPA exam or already have a license
