Application Developer

The Application Developer II develops and implements application changes and is expected to stay abreast of the available technology regarding application development, information delivery, and relational database technology.

• Develop and execute test plans to check infrastructure and systems technical performance. Report on findings and make recommendations for improvement.
• Understand department’s strategic business plans.
• Understand and maintain knowledge of company’s existing IT architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio.
• Plans programs by studying specifications.
• Understand and implement coding standards.
• Keep current on trends in technology in order to enhance skills.
• Acquire and maintain knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

• In-depth technical knowledge of network, PC, and platform operating systems, including current Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop releases.
• Basic knowledge of programming languages, including C#, T-SQL and MVC.
• Advanced level of analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
• Intermediate level written and oral communication skills.
• Intermediate level interpersonal and consultative skills.
• Ability to present ideas in user‑friendly language.
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high‑pressure environment.
• Ability to work in a team‑oriented, collaborative environment.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or software engineering.
• 1-5 years of experience working as a developer.
• 1-5 years of hands‑on experience with application development tools, including Visual Studio .NET, MVC, HTML5, React
  
  JS or Angular
  
  JS and Dev Ops.
• 1-5 years of hands‑on experience with relational database technology, preferably Microsoft SQL Server.
