You will get to- Own the production cadence: monitor and update schedules to match program milestones and shipment commitments
- Keep production honest: ensure accurate part consumption, WIP updates, and complete/clean checklist documentation
- Run work orders end-to-end: plan, release, track, close, and report status to keep Operations in the loop
- Partner with Logistics: coordinate deliveries/pickups so parts are where they need to be—when they need to be
- Unblock the floor fast: collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues impacting schedule, throughput, or quality
- Balance the bench: coordinate resource allocation with Manufacturing leaders to optimize technician utilization
- Set technicians up to win: prepare work packages and help prioritize work distribution
- Dig into the data: analyze trends, troubleshoot checklist discrepancies, and solve production snags
- Improve the system: identify and implement process improvements that reduce friction and increase flow
- Protect the schedule: propose options, workarounds, and schedule adjustments to mitigate risk
- Coordinate vendor services: oversee outside support and production coordination across programs
- Support Quality readiness: finalize records before products are presented to Quality
- Associate's or Bachelor's in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Business Ops, Supply Chain, or related field preferred; equivalent professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 2 years in aerospace/manufacturing production planning, coordination, or scheduling
- Planning & execution chops: strong in production planning/scheduling, WIP control, and work order management
- Systems fluency: comfortable with ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools
- Analytical mindset: skilled in data analysis/reporting, troubleshooting discrepancies, and making sound calls under pressure
- Continuous improvement drive: experience improving processes and optimizing workflows
- Cross-functional leadership: proven ability to coordinate teams across Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, Logistics, and Program Management in a fast-paced environment
- How you work: highly organized, deadline-driven, detail-oriented, proactive, adaptable, and calm/structured when priorities shift
- Location/Environment: mix of office work and time on the production floor in an aerospace & defense manufacturing setting
- Schedule:
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday–Friday, with occasional overtime/weekend work during critical deadlines/testing - Travel: minimal
- Physical: frequent movement between floor and office; occasional lifting up to 30 lbs; extended computer work
- Eligibility/Security: must be authorized to work in the U.S.; may involve ITAR-regulated and/or classified environments
- Tools: ERP/MES systems, digital work instructions, Excel/Word/PowerPoint, Solid Works, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet
