They are seeking a Manufacturing & Process Engineer to play a key role in developing production methods, supporting shop operations, and ensuring processes meet demanding quality and efficiency standards.
Position OverviewThe Manufacturing & Process Engineer is responsible for defining how complex components are produced—from initial methodology through detailed shop documentation. This role partners closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to design fixtures, validate processes, and optimize manufacturing workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Develop manufacturing strategies and routings for precision aerospace components
- Design production fixturing, including 3D models and detailed drawings
- Create operation sheets and shop-ready documentation with accurate tolerancing and dimensions
- Support and apply specialized processes such as welding, laser cutting, and sheet metal forming
- Validate manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with strict quality requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve production challenges and improve efficiency
- Utilize CAD tools and 3D models to support manufacturing and design intent
- Provide technical support to the shop floor as needed
- Participate in occasional travel for training or multi-site support
- 5+ years of experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of CNC milling and turning operations
- Experience with specialized fabrication processes (welding, laser cutting, sheet metal forming)
- Familiarity with a variety of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, titanium, and high-temperature alloys
- Understanding of modern machining and forming techniques
- Proficiency with CAD software (Solid Works and/or NX preferred) including modeling and assemblies
- Comfortable working with 3D models and engineering documentation
- Strong general computer skills; experience with Microsoft Office
- Ability to navigate file systems and naming conventions in a Windows environment
- Effective communicator who works well across departments
- Team-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
