Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Manchester, CT, for a Toolmaker. The Toolmaker will be responsible for fabricating, repairing, and maintaining precision tools, dies, gauges, and fixtures to meet exact specifications. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting technical drawings, setting up and operating machining equipment, assembling completed tools or components, and inspecting finished products for accuracy and quality. The role requires a close attention to detail, a hands‑on approach to problem‑solving, and adherence to safety standards while collaborating with the broader manufacturing team.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in operating and programming CNC machinery, grinders, lathes, and milling machines.
  • Skilled in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
  • Strong knowledge of tool design, fabrication, and maintenance processes.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of workplace safety standards and quality control procedures in manufacturing.
  • Previous experience in precision manufacturing or a related field; formal technical training or apprenticeship is a plus.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional certification in machining or tooling is an advantage.
