We are hiring per diem Companion IIs to join our dynamic care team at Athena Care at Home in the Manchester area!
Weekly pay at $17 an hour. This on-the-road position requires an active driver’s license and an insured vehicle.

Education & Experience- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must have a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must have an active and unencumbered CNA, PCA, or HHA license in the state.
- Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting, transferring, ambulation, feeding, continence care).
- Skin monitoring to maintain skin health.
- Range‑of‑motion and muscle‑strengthening exercises.
- Turning and positioning as required by a skilled nurse.
- Medication reminders.
- Application and maintenance of prosthetics and orthotics.
- Meal planning, preparation, and grocery shopping.
- Accompanying to medical appointments.
- Assisting, monitoring, or prompting the client to complete the above items.
- Redirection, monitoring, and observation integral to the care plan.
- Redirection and intervention for behavior, including observation and monitoring.
- Appropriate reporting of changes in client status.
- Performs routine household tasks as assigned.
- Cleaning areas: bathroom, client’s bedroom/sleeping area, kitchen, living area, laundry, vacuuming, washing dishes, floor care, trash removal.
- Takes a genuine interest in the client by listening to their needs and ensuring a safe environment.
- Monitors and reports client concerns to supervisors, doctors, or family members.
- Driving clients to planned outings or events.
- Providing emotional support as clients heal or cope with their conditions.
- Excellent customer‑service and listening skills.
- Reliable source of transportation with an insured vehicle.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; able to effectively communicate with the client, family, and staff.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Demonstrated ability to make appropriate professional judgments.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Able to provide Homemaker service according to the client’s care plan and report changes in condition to the supervising manager.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Access to a working telephone for regular communication with office, manager, client, responsible party, and staffing coordinator.
