We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading main civils contractor on a high-profile airport infrastructure project based in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key commercial role on a major project that will shape the future of one of the UK’s busiest transport hubs.
You will lead commercial functions on site, reporting to the Commercial Manager, and be responsible for managing costs, subcontractor packages, valuations, variations, and cost forecasting on a complex, multi-disciplinary civil engineering scheme.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the commercial management of key packages of work
- Prepare and manage accurate cost reports and forecasts
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments
- Assess and manage variations and change control
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and commercial procedures
- Provide commercial advice and support to project and site teams
- Liaise with client and stakeholders on commercial matters
- Mentor and support junior QS staff where appropriate
Looking for either Quantity Surveyor with the experience to step into a Senior Quantity Surveyor role or an established Senior Quantity Surveyor. You will need a proven background working on large scale civils projects ideally on car parks or other structural projects.
Salary and package£60,000 + car/allowance + package
