The Work
As a Junior Dev Sec Ops Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying software applications and systems, as well as ensuring the smooth operation of our Submarine Sonar Systems development and production environments.
Who you are
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems using a variety of programming languages, including Python and Bash
* Develop and maintain automated testing and deployment scripts using tools such as Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes
* Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines
* Ensure the smooth operation of development and production environments, including troubleshooting and resolving issues
* Participate in code reviews and ensure that all code is written to the highest standards of quality and security
* Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in software development and Dev Sec Ops , and apply this knowledge to improve our processes and systems

Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related field and 2-5 years of professional experience.
* Proficiency in a variety of programming languages, including Python and shell scripting (Bash).
* Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
* Experience with automated testing and deployment tools, including Jenkins, Docker, and/or Kubernetes.
* Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills.
* 2-5 years of experience in software development and Dev Ops.
Desired
Skills:
* Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes
* Experience with infrastructure as a service tools (IaaS), including Open Stack
* Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, including Gitlab
* Experience with monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus and Grafana
* Experience with cloud-based platforms
Security Clearance Statement:
This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
