Data Center Cable Technician – Contract to Hire

We are hiring 10-15 Data Center Cable Technicians for a major data center project in Manassas, Virginia. The initial project duration is 8.5 weeks, with multiple ongoing and upcoming projects expected to extend long‑term opportunities. High‑performing technicians may be eligible for conversion to full‑time employment after completing required hours.

Level 1 Technician:

• Minimum 2 years of data center cabling experience (Anything less is an automatic disqualifier.)

Level 2 Technician:

• Resume review
• Technical screening to verify hands‑on skill proficiency

Technicians must provide their own tools:

• Electrician snips
• Basic hand tools (Phillips/flathead screwdrivers, wrench set, socket set)
• Hands‑drill (preferred; can be provided if needed)

• Pulling and routing fiber optic cable
• Performing Fluke testing
• Terminating copper and fiber cabling
• Cable dressing and pathway organization
• Working in a data center construction environment with full PPE
• Articulating hands‑on data center experience
• Following safety standards, documentation, and quality guidelines

• Fiber optic installation
• Copper & fiber termination
• Fluke testing
• Cable dressing
• Low‑voltage cabling

• Level 1 Technician: $19‑$22 / hr
• Level 2 Technician: $23‑$27 / hr

• Clear communication skills
• Must pass background and drug screening
• Reliable and able to work full shifts in a physical environment
• Ability to lift up to 50‑75 lbs, work on ladders, and navigate tight spaces
• Ability to identify active circuits and follow labeling/termination standards

• Onsite in a live data center construction setting
• Full PPE required
• Fast‑paced, hands‑on technical environment

Contract to Hire position based out of Manassas, VA.

The pay range for this position is $19.00–$27.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
