Cable Technician

We are hiring 10-15 Data Center Cable Technicians for a major data center project in Manassas, Virginia. The initial project duration is 8.5 weeks, with multiple ongoing and upcoming projects expected to extend long-term opportunities. High-performing technicians may be eligible for conversion to full-time employment after completing required hours.

Experience Requirements

To qualify as a Level 1 Technician, candidates must have:

• Minimum 2 years of data center cabling experience
• (Anything less is an automatic disqualifier.)

Level 2 candidates require:

• Resume review
• Technical screening to verify hands-on skill proficiency

Required Tools

Technicians must provide their own tools:

• Electrician snips
• Basic hand tools (Phillips/flathead screwdrivers, wrench set, socket set)
• Hand drill (preferred; can be provided if needed)

Key Skills & Responsibilities

• Pulling and routing fiber optic cable
• Performing Fluke testing
• Terminating copper and fiber cabling
• Cable dressing and pathway organization
• Working in a data center construction environment with full PPE
• Ability to articulate hands-on data center experience
• Ability to follow safety standards, documentation, and quality guidelines

Pay Range

• Level 1 Tech: $19-$22/hr
• Level 2 Tech: $23-$27/hr

Additional Requirements

• Clear communication skills
• Must pass background and drug screening
• Reliable and able to work full shifts in a physical environment
• Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs, work on ladders, and navigate tight spaces
• Ability to identify active circuits and follow labeling/termination standards

Work Environment

• On-site in a live data center construction setting
• Full PPE required
• Fast-paced, hands-on technical environment

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $27.00/hr.
