With multiple locations across Virginia and Maryland, we are growing and looking to add a skilled Compact Construction Equipment Mechanic to our team.

Position Overview

As a Compact Construction Equipment Mechanic, you will play a key role in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of compact construction equipment, including skid steers, compact track loaders, mini excavators, and more. Your expertise ensures our customers’ machines stay productive and reliable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  • Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on compact construction equipment.
  • Conduct thorough inspections to ensure equipment meets safety and performance standards.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and software to accurately pinpoint issues.
  • Complete detailed work orders and service reports.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and team members on repair status and recommendations.
  • Stay up to date with technical bulletins, service updates, and ongoing training.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in equipment repair (compact construction equipment preferred).
  • Strong understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Proficiency with diagnostic tools and software.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various conditions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • OEM certifications (John Deere, Bobcat, CAT, etc.) are a plus but not required.
