SummaryTo lay out, assemble, install, takeover, retrofit and/or service wet and dry sprinkler systems, backflow devices, pumps, and other related equipment. Resolve and/or troubleshoot problems in a timely and efficient manner, be on‑call for after‑hours or weekend emergencies, and perform installation work on an as‑needed basis. Duties assigned will be performed in a timely manner to meet all company standards as well as any applicable Federal, State, or Local codes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Perform installation, takeover, or retrofit per design
- Interface sprinkler system with fire alarm system or monitoring device
- Capable for troubleshooting, identifying, and repairing systems as required to meet state and local codes
- Perform test(s) to verify correct function system-wide
- Perform regular inspections of fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA 25 and applicable state/local codes.
- Visually inspect all system components, connections, links, heads, pumps, and valves, and configuration of system installation
- Interface with customers to explain work to be performed, answer their questions and address their concerns in a knowledgeable and respectful manner
- Keep vehicle neat, clean and organized at all times
- Perform routine inventory checks of tools, equipment, parts, devices and paperwork
- Completes all required paperwork such as inspection reports, S.O.’s, timesheets, etc. thoroughly, neatly and submits completed paperwork daily.
- Attends all required company meetings.

5+ years related experience - Preferred:
Sprinkler Apprenticeship program graduate - Preferred:
Advanced Technical School Training - Preferred Certification: NICET Level 2
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Demonstrate integrity, honesty
- Mechanical skills and aptitude
- Proficient in basic computer skills
- Demonstrate problem‑solving skills
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal). Able to interact with all levels being served
- Able to adapt behavior to different people and situations. Be flexible by adjusting interpersonal approaches appropriate to the manager/employee
- Hand‑eye coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
- Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently required to stand and talk or hear, walk, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and smell.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work heights.
- Occasionally lift up to one hundred (100) pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Regular and Timely Attendance
- Must pass initial and random substance abuse tests
