Job Overview

Calvert Masonry Inc., a 100% employee-owned leader in commercial and industrial masonry,

is seeking experienced Bricklayers to install bricks, CMU and other masonry structures. This position will report directly to the Job site Foreman and/or Superintendent

Key Responsibilities

• Install brick, CMU and other various masonry materials per plans and specs and within typical trade tolerances
• Other duties as required and directed by a supervisor

Qualifications

• 3+ years of brick, CMU, stone and/or precast laying experience
• Basic Math skills
• Ability to follow and understand directions and adhere to safety requirements
• Knowledge and proficient use of typical masonry tools
• Dependable, reliable, hard worker with a desire to learn
• Must report to work every day prior to start of shift, ready to work
• Ability to consistently meet or exceed production levels as required by the Foreman

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior completion of an approved apprenticeship program
• Journeyman Certification
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints for commercial job sites
• 5+ years of commercial brick laying experience
• Bi-Lingual is preferred but not required
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification and/or additional applicable certifications

Transportation & Tools

Must have reliable transportation for job sites in VA-DC-MD

Must have standard tools of the trade

Schedule

Monday to Friday 7am to 3:30 pm (unless directed otherwise due to weather or job site schedule changes)

Saturday Work as required to address job site schedules and/or weather make-up days

The physical demands of this role require standing, bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, climbing, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors/outdoors when required by the job. Work Environment
Calvert works primarily in Northern Virginia and the surrounding Metro Area in DC and Maryland. You should have the ability to work at heights that could be in excess of 125 feet. You will be exposed to weather elements from time to time and will be required to work outside and/or inside as needed to perform the necessary scheduled work.
