Helper/Apprentice

As a mechanical contractor, we install heating and cooling (HVAC) systems, plumbing systems, and medical gas systems. We specialize in the healthcare industry, assembling, installing, altering, and repairing piping systems that carry water, steam, air, or other liquids or gases, as well as HVAC equipment, plumbing fixtures, and medical gas equipment. This is a full‑time (40 hours per week) hourly position.

• Work in a manner that promotes safety for yourself and others in the same area.
• Assist plumbers, HVAC mechanics, and/or welders with the installation of piping, fixtures, and equipment.
• Cut or drill holes in walls or floors to accommodate the passage of pipes.
• Measure, cut, thread, and assemble new pipe, placing it in hangers or supports.
• Mount brackets and hangers on walls and ceilings to hold pipes and set sleeves or inserts to provide support.
• Collect and carry materials and equipment to the work site.
• Fit or assist in fitting valves, couplings, or assemblies to tanks, pumps, or systems using hand tools.
• Assist pipe fitters in the layout, assembly, and installation of piping for air, gas, and water systems.
• Excavate, grade ditches, and lay and join pipe for water and sewer service.
• Disassemble and remove damaged or worn pipe.
• Use various hand and power tools to accomplish required tasks.
• Continuously strive to learn the intricacies of our trade.

• A valid driver's license and dependable transportation; you may be required to drive between job sites and operate company vehicles for company tasks.
• Ability to perform the skills listed in the “Necessary Skills” section.
• A strong desire to learn the plumbing/HVAC/welding trade.
