Building Maintenance Professional

Are you a detail-oriented and reliable individual with a passion for ensuring the functionality of buildings? We are currently seeking a Building Maintenance Professional to join our team. As a Building Maintenance Professional, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and optimal conditions of our customers' facilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and maintenance tasks on building systems and equipment
• Repair and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Conduct regular check-ups on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) units
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as painting, patching drywall, and fixing faucets
• Install and repair various fixtures, including light fixtures, ceiling fans, and door handles
• Assemble furniture and other household items according to manufacturers' instructions
• Repair and replace damaged or worn-out flooring, tiles, and carpets
• Fix leaky pipes, unclog drains, and repair or replace toilets and sinks
• Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, replacing faulty switches, outlets, and light fixtures
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and address any issues in a timely manner
• Monitor building security systems and address any concerns or malfunctions

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in building maintenance or a related field
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively with minimal supervision
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects, climb ladders, and work in various weather conditions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Write, present, and sell your own estimates to our customers
• Live within Northern Virginia area,
  preferably within our service territory
