Diesel Mechanic, Heavy Equipment Mechanic
DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Manassas, VA.
Up to $10,000 Sign on Bonus, Annual Tool & PPE Allowance, Pension & 401K and Stock Purchase Plan.
You will make an impact in the following ways:
- Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
- Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
- Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
- Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
- Maintain own tools
In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Completes complex internal engine repairs
- Perform assisted engine overhauls
- Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
- Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software
Shift hours are Monday-Friday 7am- 3:30pm
Compensation and BenefitsBase salary rate commensurate with experience. Education, Licenses, CertificationsApprentice Trained Engine Technician (Preferred)
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution
Locally valid driving permit (Preferred)
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
ExperienceIntermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products
QUALIFICATIONS- A CDL w/ Passenger Endorsement Preferred
- Federal law requires a CDL holder to be 21 years of age or older
