Security Officer - Flex Armed Security Clearance in Manassas, VA. You will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Flex Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform. This is an armed post requiring an Armed Guard Card or License, with integrity and teamwork at the core.

• Provide customer service to client staff and visitors at a technology and data center location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct armed patrols, including regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of the facility, data halls, loading areas, parking areas and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and controlled areas by checking identification and credentials, managing visitor processing and maintaining awareness of authorized entry and exit activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, notification of on-site contacts and coordination with public emergency responders as directed by post orders.
• Complete detailed security-related reports and documentation, including incident reports, patrol logs and shift pass-downs, and communicate significant events to the appropriate personnel.

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
• Possess an active DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
