Join Our Dynamic Team as an Outside and Inside Sales Representative at Signarama!

As an Outside Sales Representative at Signarama, you will be at the forefront of identifying and capturing signage opportunities with potential clients. Your goal will be to increase the sales volume by presenting our solutions in a knowledgeable and professional manner, ultimately closing sales orders.

You will be a great fit for this role if you are a highly motivated and outgoing individual with a strong background in sales and customer service. If you excel in building relationships, possess excellent communication skills, and are adept at recognizing customer needs and presenting effective signage solutions, then we want you on the team!

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Engagement
    :
    Visit various businesses including offices, restaurants, and industrial parks to introduce Signarama’s services and special promotions.
  • Sales Execution
    :
    Build strong relationships with potential customers, understand their needs, and present versatile signage solutions.
  • Strategic Follow‑Up
    :
    Maintain an organized system for following up on leads, preparing quotes, and closing sales.
  • Financial Transactions
    :
    Secure deposits and manage full payment collections upon order completion.
  • Sales Goals
    :
    Strive to meet or exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Marketing and Training
    :
    Participate in regular in‑store training sessions to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
  • Store Support
    :
    Assist with store management duties as needed and ensure a professional work environment.
  • Stop and see every business on your route (DON’T CHERRY PICK):
    • Business Types:
      Offices, Restaurants, Industrial Parks, Retail Businesses, and all other organizations.
    • Tasks:
      Introduce the brand, build rapport, explain versatility and services, gather business cards, maintain consistent follow‑up, accurately fill forms and work orders, assist store operations, remarket areas quarterly, keep inventory, complete training, and maintain a clean, professional store appearance.
  • Front Counter Sales – Serve as the first point of contact for walk‑in customers and telephone customers:
    • Assure customer satisfaction, send thank‑you cards, respond to inquiries, provide recommendations and quotes, and assist with order process.
    • Process orders, complete work orders, obtain approvals and down payments.
    • Conduct telemarketing: calls to direct mail listings, existing customer files, new business listings, non‑active customers, outstanding quotations, and prospecting via phone.
    • Collaborate with Production to answer questions on work orders.
    • Mailings to club members, follow‑up of top customers, run bi‑monthly specials, implement marketing strategies, enter contact data, contact customers when orders are ready, obtain referrals, support owner with reports and paperwork.
    • Cross‑train in other store areas, maintain cleanliness, perform quality control, and complete in‑store training modules.

Qualifications
  • Proficient in computer use and eager to master various software tools.
  • Solid foundation in sales and marketing principles.
  • Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required skills and knowledge, including:
    • Formal or informal education sufficient for basic math and number conversion.
    • Previous experience as a customer sales associate / service representative.
    • Experience in a sign shop or graphics industry.
    • Pass all assessments administered during the hiring process.
  • Excellent communication skills (listening, speaking, writing, consulting) and ability to assess needs and offer solutions.
  • Positive, adaptable personality; professional appearance; quality conscious; willingness to work overtime and maintain a calm, diplomatic demeanor.
